BMD Respite Direct Support Services (“BMD Respite”, “we”) respects the privacy of every family we work with. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it, in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

This website does not have sign-up or contact forms. We only receive personal information when you choose to contact us by phone, text or email. That may include:

Your name, phone number, email address and community
Details you share about the person receiving care, such as their needs, routines and relevant health information
Scheduling and billing details once care is arranged

How we use it

We use this information only to respond to you, plan and provide care, arrange schedules, and handle billing. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

Who we share it with

We share information only with your consent, with people you have authorized (for example a family member or case coordinator), or where required by law. Health information about the person in care is treated as confidential and shared only as needed to keep them safe.

Website analytics and cookies

We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website (for example, which pages are viewed). It uses cookies and collects information such as your browser type, approximate location and pages visited, but not your name or contact details. Our contact page also includes an embedded Google Map. You can block cookies in your browser settings or use Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.

How we protect it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and take reasonable steps to keep it secure and confidential.
